NEET UG counselling 2024 round 1 seat allotment results postponed: Here is why – Times of India



The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has postponed the NEET UG counselling 2024 round 1 seat allotment result due to alterations in the seat matrix. The seat allotment results are expected to be out tomorrow, August 24, 2024. According to the NEET UG 2024 schedule, the results for Round 1 seat allotment were originally scheduled for release today.

Reasons for postponement of NEET UG counselling 2024 result

The MCC of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has reported that on August 23, 2024, they were informed by Sri Krishna Medical College, Muzaffarpur, Bihar to remove certain seats from the Round-1 seat matrix of UG Counselling 2024.These seats had been mistakenly included by the college. These seats will be withdrawn by the counselling committee before the release of the first round of seat allotment results.
The official notification released by MCC also mentions that Delhi University had provided information about the release of a revised Children/Widows of Personnel of the Armed Forces (CW) list. The notification reads, “Also, information has been received from Delhi University on 23.08.2024 regarding the publishing of the revised CW list. In this regard, the result of Round I of NEET UG counselling 2024 which was scheduled to be declared today i.e., 23.08.2024 is being postponed and is expected to be published tomorrow i.e., 24.08.2024.”
