CAET exam pattern

The CAET is a pen-and-paper-based entrance exam, where candidates must mark their answers on the provided OMR sheet. The test comprises three mandatory question papers, time allotted to each section is 90 minutes, covering Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The exam will be held at various centres across the UAE, with candidates being assigned a city based on their preferences.

CAET selection process

Only candidates who take all three papers will be considered for ranking. The total marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics determine the candidate’s rank. In the event of a tie, the candidate with the higher score in Mathematics will be awarded the higher rank. If the tie remains unresolved, the candidate with the higher score in Physics will be ranked higher. Should the tie still persist, the candidates will be assigned the same rank.
