CDS 2019: Combined Defence Services Examination 2019

Union Public Service Commission conducts CDS examination for graduate candidates twice in a year. Candidates who have completed 10 + 2 examination with PCM and completed a bachelor’s degree or are in the final semester of their undergraduate course, they can apply for the CDS 2019 exam. UPSC will release CDS – I  application form on October 30, 2019, in the official website of UPSC i.e. upsc.gov.in. Eligible candidate can fill their application till November 15, 2019. CDS 2019

  • Candidate must be an Indian citizen or a subject to Nepal/Bhutan or a Tibetan Refugee.
  • Candidate must be complete 18 years of age.
  • Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree.

CDS 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to apply for CDS examination 2019 must have to fulfil given eligibility criteria.

CDS 2019 Nationality

Candidate must be;

  1. A citizen of India. OR
  2. A subject of Nepal. OR
  3. A subject of Bhutan. OR
  4. A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India. OR
  5. An Indian origin person who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

CDS 2019 Age Limit, Sex and Marital Status

  1. For Indian Military Academy- Candidates should be unmarried and should be between 19 and 24 years.
  2. For Indian Naval Academy- Candidates should be unmarried and should be between 19 and 24 years.
  3. For Air Force Academy- Candidates should be between 20 to 24 years of age, which was not before January 2, 1996 and later was not born before January 1, 2000 (valid and current commercial pilot issued by DGCA (India) 26 Upper age limit of candidates with licensed year, i.e. before January 2, 1994, and born after January 1, 2000) are eligible only.
  4. For Officers’ Training Academy- (SSC Course for Men) Both married and an unmarried candidate can apply. Candidate should be between 19 to 25 years of age.
  5. For Officers’ Training Academy – (SSC Women Non-Technical Course) Unmarried women, issueless widows and issueless divorcees can apply. Those ages should be between 19 to 25 years.

CDS 2019 Educational Qualification

  1. For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy- candidates must have a college from a recognized university of India or equivalent.
  2. For Indian Naval Academy- an engineering degree from a recognized University/Institute of India.
  3. For Air Force Academy- Candidate must have a Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

CDS Application Form 2019

Candidates who wish to fill the CDS- I  application form 2019 can find application form from the official website of UPSC. CDS- I 2019 Application form will be available on 30 October 2019. The last date to apply online for application form November 19, 2019.  

Application Fee

  • Candidates who are belonging from Unreserved and OBC category are required to pay ₹200/- application fee.
  • All-female candidates, SC/ST candidates are exempted from the application fee.
  • Candidates can pay the fee by cash, by using the net banking and through debit/credit card.

How to fill the application form of CDS 2019?

  1. Firstly you have to visit UPSC’s official website upsconline.nic.in.
  2. Click on the application link “ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC”
  3. Now, you can see the CDS 2019 application form link here in this page.
  4. You have to do registration for CDS 2019.
  5. Fill personal details on the application form and generate an application number.
  6. Save this application number for login and other purposes.
  7. Pay the application fee, upload documents.
  8. Submit the application form and save it for future reference.

CDS Selection Process 2019

Candidates have to clear the written examination and 5 days interview process (SSB). Those candidates who qualify both rounds will call for the medical test.
