Performance of India in Universities in the Sustainability category
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has claimed the title of the top-ranked Indian institution in global rankings, securing the 171st position worldwide. Notably, it achieved an impressive 81.1 percentile in the Environmental Sustainability category.
IIT Delhi’s rise has been remarkable, leaping 255 places from its previous global rank of 426. Following closely are IIT Kharagpur, which ranks 202nd globally, and IIT Bombay, securing the 234th position. This significant improvement highlights the growing recognition of Indian institutions on the global academic stage.
Both institutions showed notable jumps in their rankings, with IIT Kharagpur improving by 147 places and IIT Bombay by 69.
