IIT Bombay undergraduate scholarships: Check eligibility, benefits, and other details – Times of India

Scholarships offered by IIT Bombay for Graduate courses

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay offers two scholarships for its graduate programmes.
Merit-cum-Means scholarship:
This scholarship is awarded to a maximum of 25% of the sanctioned Intake of undergraduate students. For Dual Degree (B Tech.+M Tech.) programme, it is available only up to the 4th year.

For new entrants of B Tech, Dual Degree (B Tech + M Tech), BS their JEE (Advanced) AIR, for B Des their UCEED Rank is the criterion in their first year. In subsequent years, the academic performance of the preceding academic year would be the criteria. The parental income is the basis for the ‘means’ criterion of the scholarship. At present students whose parents annual gross income from all sources for the previous Financial year (eg. 1st April 2023 to 31st March 2024 for the scholarship of Academic year 2024-25) does not exceed Rs. 5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs only) are eligible to apply for Merit-cum-means Scholarship

Above Rs. 1 Lakh up to 3 Lakhs Exemption from payment of Tuition fee

Above Rs. 3 Lakhs up to 5 Lakhs Exemption from payment of Tuition fee.

Scholarship of 20,000/per year.

Women Merit Scholarship of Rs. 10,000/ per year.

Exemption from payment of Tuition fee.

Scholarship of Rs. 20,000/ per year.

Free Messing Facilities:
Under this, all SC/ST students are exempted from the payment of tuition fees. The facilities of free messing are granted to eligible SC/ ST students of B Tech, Dual Degree (B Tech + M Tech), B S and B Des Programme. For Dual Degree (B Tech +M Tech) programme, it is available only up to 4th year.
Eligibility Criteria: As per the information, students whose parental income is the basis for the ‘means’ criterion of the scholarship.
