Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has conducted the UPSC CAPF recruitment examination every year for Assistant Commandants post. Male and Female both candidates can apply for the UPSC CAPF. The application form for UPSC CAPF 2019 was available from 24 April 2019 to 20 May 2019 on the official website i.e. upsc.gov.in. UPSC CAPF Eligibility Criteria 2019
Candidates who wish to join BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITPB and SSB on the post of Assistant Commandant will have to complete the eligibility criteria for the post. There are 4 major criteria, candidate have to fulfil those.
UPSC CAPF 2019 Nationality
The candidate who wishes to fill the application form must be
- A citizen of India. OR
- A subject of Nepal. OR
- A subject of Bhutan.
UPSC CAPF 2019 Age Limit
- Candidate must be completed 20 years of age on 1 August of the examination year.
- Candidate’s age must not exceed than 25 years.
- Candidates who are from reserved category will get relaxation in the age limit according to the conditions of government.

- Candidates who are having B.Sc, B.A, B.Com, BCA, B.Tech etc. bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for UPSC CAPF 2019.
- Candidates who are in the last year of their graduation are also eligible to apply.
UPSC CAPF Physical Standard 2019
Candidates should meet the prescribed Physical and Medical Standards for the recruitment of Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants). The physical standard criteria are given below.

UPSC CAPF Application Form 2019
Let the candidates know that the application process for UPSC CAPF 2019 started from April 24 to 20 May 2019. The application form was available on the application portal of UPSC i.e upsconline.nic.in. Those candidates who fulfil all the eligibility criteria can apply for CAPF AC.
Application Fee
- Candidates who are belonging from Unreserved and OBC category are required to pay ₹200/- application fee.
- All-female candidates, SC/ST candidates are exempted from the application fee.
- Candidates can pay the fee by cash, by using the net banking and through debit/credit card.

UPSC CAPF Admit Card 2019
After the end of the application process of UPSC CAPF recruitment 2019, the admit card will be issued for the written examination. UPSC will conduct the Assistant Commandant Recruitment Exam on August 18, 2019. For this, the commission will be released admit card of UPSC CAPF a week before the entrance examination. Admit card will be available on the official website, candidates have to download admit card through login into the site. Candidates should keep the admit card in the examination day. Please carry a photo identity proof with the admit card on the examination day.

UPSC CAPF 2019 Exam Pattern and Selection Process
Written Exam
The written examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission will be held on August 18, 2019, and will include two papers. Paper-I will be held from 10 am to 12.00 pm and Paper-II will be 2.00 pm. 5:00 PM.
- Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence – 250 Marks
- Questions during this paper are objective (multi-select) types, during which questions in Hindi are set in Hindi.
- Paper-II: General Studies, Essay and Understanding – 200 marks
- In this paper, candidates will be given the option to write essay component in English or Hindi, but the medium of Precis Writing, Comprehension Components and other communication/language skills will be English only.

Interview/Personality Test
Those candidates who are declared qualified in the medical standard test will be called for the Interview/Personality Test i.e. conducted by Union Public Service Commission. The Interview/Personality Test will consist of 150 marks. Candidates who have been shortlisted for interview/personality test will be issued a Detailed Application Form (DAF).
Final Selection / Merit
Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination and interview/personality test. The selected candidate will be posted as Assistant Commandant in CAPFs.

Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence
The objective type questions with multiple choices in this paper will broadly cover the following

- The questions shall aim to test candidates’ knowledge of the Country’s political system and the Constitution of India, social systems and public administration, economic development in India, regional and international security issues and human rights including its indicators.

- The questions will broadly cover the subject in its social, economic and political aspects. This shall also include the areas of growth of nationalism and freedom movement.

- The questions shall cover the physical, social and economic aspects of geography pertaining to India and the World.

Part ‐ A: Essay questions which are to be answered in the long narrative form either in Hindi or English totalling 80 Marks. The indicative topics are modern Indian history especially of the freedom struggle, geography, polity and economy, knowledge of security and human rights issues, and analytical ability.
Part ‐ B: Comprehension, precis writing, other communications/language skills – to be attempted in English only (Marks 120) – The topics are Comprehension passages, precis writing, developing counter arguments, simple grammar and other aspects of language testing.
UPSC CAPF Result 2019
Union Public Service Commission will declare the result in 3 phases. Firstly UPSC will declare the result of written examination then it will declare the result of PST/PET and medical test after that UPSC will declare the result of Interview/Personality Test.
